Miss Barbara Ann Young “Boot” was born in Clinch County, Georgia on February 28, 1955 to Mr. and Mrs. James and Roberta Young. She was the second born of eight children. She received her formal education in the public schools in Atkinson County. She graduated from Atkinson County High School in 1973. In high school Barbara was well known for her excellent skills playing basketball in which she played the position of guard.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James and Roberta Young, and a brother Robert Lawrence Young.
She leaves to cherish her memories:

Nephews: Roshell Young, Lonnie Young II, Jamie Young, Jamal Young. Great Nieces: Gabrielle “Gabi” Wilson, Tkiyah Young, LeJasmine Young, Kennedi Miller, and others.
