Sis. Bonnie Jean Williams was born on November 30, 1958 in Pearson, Georgia, to the late Shepard & Dorothy Williams. She peacefully departed this life on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Satilla Memorial Hospital.
Sis Bonnie was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Williams, Jackie Williams, and Dorothy Lee Williams and five grandchildren: LeJerrious Jones, Jr., Xye’ Jenerria, Ca’ Morrious Jones, Bryson Robinson, and Sereyah Hicks.
Sis Bonnie was a faithful, God-fearing woman and a devoted member of St. Mary Mora Baptist Church. She has a deep and unconditional love for her children and grandchildren. She also held a special place in her heart for her family, her pastor, and all her nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Atkinson County High School in 1977. She later continued her education, earning an associate’s degree in healthcare from the University of Phoenix and furthering her studies at Wiregrass Technical College. Sis. Bonnie had a natural calling to care for others and dedicated much of her life to helping and nurturing those around her.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two children; LaRhonda Jones-Harden of Warner Robins, Ga, and LeJerrious(Candice) Jones of Hinesville, Ga, two special godchildren, Carl (Tamika) Tobler and Donovan (Tonjaneka) Simpson, both of Douglas, Ga. She also leaves behind her siblings: Shepard Williams, Jr., of Atlanta, Ga, Lelia Clemmons, Roxie (Burnie Lee) Grady, Joe Ben (Darlene) Williams, Early (Ruby) Williams, Earnest (LaShonda) Williams and Evelyn Armour, all of Douglas, Ga and Carolyn (Jackson) Williams of Willacoochee, Ga. She is also survived by one special sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Williams of Douglas, Ga, seven grandchildren; Kendarius (Ebonye Adams) Brockington, Shanterrious Jones, Ni’ Javious Jones, Samari Jones, Samauria Fletcher, Demarious Jones, and Sky Fletcher and five great-grandchildren, Ka’Mazi Brockington, Ma’Kenleigh Brockington, Makai Jones, Jayden McCullough, and Masai Jones.
She also leaves to cherish her memory a special niece Sandra (Casey) Roberts. Special friend, Ms. Rosa Nedd of Warner Robins, Ga and one God-brother, Pastor Harvey (Shayona) Simpson, of Douglas, Ga.
Sis Bonnie’s loving spirit, caring heart and unwavering faith will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
