George L. Roberts, The only child of the late Sarah Roberts Walker and Henry "Doc" Wadley, was born on July 25, 1951.
George AKA "Eagle" or "Brat" was united in holy Matrimony on March 10, 1999 and survived by his loving, caring and faithful wife Demeatrice Marshelle Roberts.
Mr. Roberts joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Wray, Georgia in 2014. He served under the leadership of Rev. Herbert Coney until his health declined. He was employed as a truck driver for twenty-eight years at the City of Alma, Georgia and Two years for Southland Waste Systems of Waycross, Georgia.
George departed this earthly life after an extended illness on November 18, 2017 at the Pruitt Healthcare Rehabilitation Center in Ocilla, Georgia. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 18 years, Demeatrice Marshelle Roberts. Five sons- George (Kassie) Roberts Jr., Jessie Roberts, Jeffery (Tamika) Roberts, James Roberts and Jamie Roberts, all of Alma, GA. Six Step children: Robert Moore, Deasan (Lee) Stevens, Brenda Moore, Alexander Moore, Wayne Ryals and Katrina Ryals. His mother-in-law who loved him dearly, Shellie Paulk of Broxton, Georgia; Father-in-law, Robert (Rose) Ward of Ft. Myers, FL; Brothers-in-law, Robert Ward Jr. ,Willie J. Ward, Eugene (Katrina) Paulk of Douglas, GA, Tommy Ward, Tamaraus (Brittinia) Paulk and Laterrence (Angela) Paulk all of Broxton, GA. Sisters-in-law, Denise (Reco) Graydon, Michelle Ward and Cassandra Ward. Fifteen grand children; Seven great grandchildren; And a host Brothers, Sisters, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many other sorrowing family friends and loved ones..
