Our community was deeply saddened when the life of Mr. Matthew Eric Rolax, Sr. came to a close on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, the son the late Clyde Wesley Rolax and Elizabeth (James) Brinson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Wesley Rolax; one aunt, Mary Crockett; four uncles, James, Roosvelt, Mozell and Willie Lee Reed.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His mother, Elizabeth (James) Brinson of Douglas, GA. Children: Matthew Eric (Monica) Rolax Jr. of Moultrie, GA; Ikedia Rolax and Marquavious Paulk both of Douglas, GA; Brothers: Robert (Jennifer) Rolax of Douglas, GA; Clyde (Shelly) Rolax of Valdosta, GA; and Keith (Whitney) Brinson of Waycross, GA; Sisters: Kertina (Willie) Biggins and Michelle Rolax both of Douglas, GA;; Special aunt and uncle Shirley (Robert) Thornton and Patricia Dewitt; Aunts: Cynthia Johnson and Cassandra Johnson of Garden City, FL; Caunell (Ronald) Brown; Uncle Claude Reed. Twenty-eight nieces and nephews. And a host of other family and friends.
