Montre Ricardo Rogers, the son of Hershey and Johnnie Mae Rogers, Sr. of Willacoochee, Georgia suddenly passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.
Montre Ricardo Rogers was born on July 26, 1990 in Savannah, Georgia at which he was taken home from the hospital at two weeks of age by his parents, Hershey and Johnnie Mae Rogers in Willacoochee, Georgia. Cardo (known to family and friends) attended Atkinson County High School where he excelled in basketball and football. Shortly after, he left home to pursue his dream of becoming a chef and painter a Brunswick Job Corps. Montre attended House of God Church in Willacoochee, Georgia where he would sing in the choir and joined the YFFU. While trying to find a way to provide for his daughter he found employment with Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation of Douglas, Georgia.
Montre was best known for being full of joy. He was funny, entertaining, crazy and best described by his family as “aggravating” but full of love.
Montre Rogers departed this earthly life on January 27, 2015. He was preceded in death by his brother Jeffery Rogers.
He leaves to honor his memories: his daughter, Ava Walthour; His parents, Hershey Lee Rogers, Sr. and Johnnie Mae Rogers; Brothers and sisters: Debra Griffin, Christine (David) Jackson, Polly (Levon) Reives, Felton (Donna) Wilson, Kathleen (Frank) Ray, Cornelius (Norma) Rogers, Gary Rogers, John Rogers, Michelle (Larry) Douglas and Pamela Deberry; God-brothers: James Dorthan and Ronnie Harrell; God-sister, Tara Locklear; Special uncle, Otis Wilson; Special aunts, Caretha Hill and Essie Debo. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special friends: Keyontae Thomas, Willis Johnson and Jamal Collier; Godmothers: Synthia Scott and Evelyn Williams.
Funeral service for Mr. Rogers will be held 2:00 p.m.Sunday, February 1, 2015 House of God Keith Dominion in Willacoochee,
