Celebrating the Life of Mr. David Lee Simpson
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” — Psalm 116:15
David was a hardworking man who believed in the value of an honest day’s work and the importance of being there for others.
Mr. David Lee Simpson, a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, and devoted companion, was born on October 22, 1968, in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late Mr. James Simpson and Mrs. Simpson. On August 27, 2026, David answered the Master’s call and peacefully departed this earthly life following a motor vehicle accident.
Though our hearts are heavy with his absence, we find comfort in knowing that David’s earthly journey is complete and that he is resting in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father.
David was preceded in death by his two brothers, Mr. Eddie Simpson and Mr. Willie Simpson.
David leaves precious memories to be cherished by his siblings, Mr. Charlie Paulk, Mr. Bobby Simpson, and Ms. Christy Simpson (Kenay) Kennedy; his aunts, Mrs. Shirley (Man) Johnson, Mrs. Virginia (Johnny) Walthour, and Mrs. Christine Vaughn; his uncles, Mr. Bobby Vaughn and Mr. David Lee; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; and his special, loving, and devoted friend, Ms. Brittney Davis.
A Life Well Lived
David was a hardworking man who believed in the value of an honest day’s work and the importance of being there for others. He found happiness in the simple blessings of country life. He enjoyed raising chickens, hunting, fishing, and lending a helping hand whenever someone was in need.
He found happiness in the simple blessings of country life.
Those who knew David will remember him most for his genuine heart, infectious laughter, and the love he showed to everyone who crossed his path. There was something special about David’s presence. He had a way of making people feel welcomed and appreciated. A smile was always on his face, and his laughter could brighten even the hardest day.
David gave love freely and expected nothing in return. His kindness, humor, hardworking spirit, and willingness to serve others left an impression on everyone who knew him. He may no longer be here in person, but the love he shared and the memories he created will remain forever.
Resting in God’s Care
We may never understand why God called David home when He did, but we can hold tightly to the promise of His Word. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. The family takes comfort in knowing that David is no longer bound by the troubles of this world and that his earthly labor is finished.
His smile will be remembered. His laughter will be remembered. His kindness will be remembered. His love will be remembered.
And most of all, David will be remembered.
Those who knew David will remember him most for his genuine heart, infectious laughter, and the love he showed to everyone.
May the memories of the good times shared with him bring comfort in the days ahead. Though he has gained his eternal rest, his spirit of love, laughter, and service will continue to live through all those who were blessed to know him.
Rest well, David. Your work here is done. Until we meet again, may you rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
