Olivia Sue Allison
Johnson
September 18, 1955 – January 7, 2026
It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother, grammy, and devoted wife, Olivia Sue Allison Johnson, age 70, of Douglas, Georgia. On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, she peacefully entered her eternal rest.
Born on September 18, 1955, in Marion, Alabama, Sue was the very definition of love in action. She lived her life selflessly, always placing the needs of others before her own especially her husband, three sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and kind words brought comfort and peace to everyone she met. She was a nurturer by nature — a woman whose heart was open wide to family, friends, students, patients, and even strangers who quickly felt like family.
Sue dedicated her life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. She proudly graduated from Marion Military Institute High School, Class of 1973, and later furthered her education by earning her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree. Whether teaching with the Coffee County Board of Education as a substitute teacher a role she embraced because of her deep love for children guiding others, healing patients as an LPN, or serving as a Girl Scout leader after becoming a grandmother, she had a rare gift for touching lives and leaving them better than she found them. A former Girl Scout herself, Sue continued her lifelong commitment to nurturing and mentoring young people. Simply listening, offering advice, or sharing encouragement, she left a lasting mark on all who knew her. Her impact reached far beyond what words can capture, and the lessons she taught through her example will continue to live on.
Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort knowing she is now reunited with her husband of 52 years and other loved ones who went before her, resting in perfect peace. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her. Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not. Sue will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
