Ricky Phillips was born on May 1, 1960 in Douglas, Ga. to late Robert and Lois Phillips Coleman. He was given his wings on May 1, 2017. He was preceded in death by his siblings Robin Coleman-Lockhart and Danny Phillips.
Ricky was a 1978 graduate of Coffee High School. He served in the U.S. Army for two terms of duty. He was later employed by Robert Fender for twenty years, and then with Anderson Pontiac for three years. In 2009, he became disable to work but not to giving directions or opinions. He married Annie Walker on December 14, 1989. Ricky joined Young's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in 1969 as a young child and liked attending Sunday School whenever he could.
Rick leaves behind his wife Annie Phillips, his daughters Kristini Jones, Aresa Nicole Phillips and son Ricky I Phillips, Shayray Taylor along with two grand-daughters Ariyanna Jones and Brooklynne Bryant; His mother Lois Coleman; two sisters Connie (Anthony) Lott, Wanda (Andre) Bailey; one brother, Hollard Phillips; Two brothers-in-law, Arthur (Clarine) George and Thomas Lockhart; his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. We will all miss his smile.
Mr. Ricky Phillips, the husband of Annie Phillips, passed away on Monday, May 1,2017. Funeral services for Mr. Phillips will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Young's Chapel Missionary Baptist in Douglas, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Vickers Cemetery on Hwy 158.
