Robert Lewis Riley was born on, May 5, 1954 to the late Richard and Lucille Riley in Douglas, Georgia. He transitioned on February 1, 2016.
He graduated from the public schools of Coffee County, Georgia. Robert was employed with the Coffee County School System until retirement and also was employed twenty-five plus years with the Dairy Queen in Douglas, Georgia. He loved making people laugh. He enjoyed singing, preaching and going out to eat. He was a member of Church of God in unity under the leadership of Pastor Van Henderson.
One sister and one brother preceded him in death, Shirlean Riley and Richard Riley.
Robert will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Sharon Riley, of Douglas, GA; Two daughters: Veronica Riley and Taketa Graham both of Douglas, GA; Four grandchildren: Marquavious Trotter, Zyrentae Trotter, DeKevion Trotter, and Ni’laysia Riley; Two sisters: Barbara King and Shelia Mackey both of Douglas, GA; Two brothers: Roger (Joyce) Powell of Douglas, GA; and James Calvin Riley of Jacksonville, FL; Uncles: Pete and Raymond Bivens both of Altanta, GA; Aunt, Netherine Riley of Taylor County; Sisters-in-law: Jeanette (Lamar) Manley, Denetrice Brown, and Trena (Mike) McMillian; And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, endearing friends and loved ones.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Sears Street Church of God by Faith. Burial will follow in the Broxton City Cemetery, Broxton, Georgia.
