Takeshia Nicole Hornsby-Taylor life’s journey began on February 10, 1989 to Ms. Debra (James) Taylor and Clyde McClelland Jr. She attended Nicholls Elementary, Coffee Middle School, then graduated from Coffee High School, Douglas, Georgia.
Keshia joined Popular Springs Baptist Church in Nicholls, Georgia at an early age. She had a way with kids, so every chance she got, she would devote her time not only for the youth at Popular Springs, but the youth all around her.
On May 8, 2015, Keshia married her first love, her best friend, Wayne Andrew Taylor. She had an impact not only on her family, but her friends as well.
She leaves to carry out her legacy of her love, her husband, Wayne Andrew Taylor of Douglas, GA; Grandmother, Mary Wilcox of Nicholls, GA; Grandfather, Henry Wilcox; Mother, Debra (James) Taylor of Valdosta, GA; Father, Clyde McClelland Jr of Douglas, GA; Two Brothers: Rambius Hornsby of Nicholls, GA and Clyde McClelland III of Maryland; Two sisters: Samarria McClelland of Valdosta, GA and Nashakoi Shae Clipper of Virginia; Two sons: Jechoniah Renfroe and “Brose” Taylor of Nicholls, GA; Two special aunts: Lisa Hornsby of Waycross, GA and Valerie McClelland of Savannah, GA; A special uncle, Reggie McClelland of Douglas, GA; A special niece, Joirdan Hornsby of Douglas, GA; Special sister-in-law, Nakkia Hawkins; Special brother-in-law, Jason Taylor and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Takeshia Nicole Hornsby-Taylor passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, Georgia.The Family will be receiving visitors during a wake service at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016 at the chapel of McIver's Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service for Mrs. Hornsby-Taylor will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Young's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 701 Shirley, Ave, Douglas, Georgia. Burial will follow at the Nicholls City Cemetery, Burnswick Rd. Nicholls, Georgia.
