Brother Willie Leon Brown AKA “Bloomus Brown from over Town” was born on January 11, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Jonnie Ree and Willie Lee Brown. Willie Leon Brown transitioned out of body into the spirit world on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Belmont Care Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

In 1968, “Bloomus Brown from over Town” graduated from Northwestern High School, Miami, Florida. Leon was on the Booker T. Washington (BTW) Tornadoes football team in Miami, Florida from 1965 – 1967. He played on the last team for the BTW High School football team before it ceased from being a high school in 1967. His college major was business administration. He received a two-year degree from Miami Dade Junior College. He worked for Hud Housing helping people in need for many years.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lee and Jonnie Ree; three brothers, in order of home going: Lamar P. Brown, Ladon H. Brown and Robbie S. Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Leon Bernard Brown; His brothers: Terry Troy (Louise) Brown of Live Oak, FL; Billy Brown of Atlanta, GA; And Anthony (Mary) Southall of Baltimore, MD; Sister-in-law: Selina Brown of Moultrie, GA; Two grandchildren; Cousins: Gen Motley and Rose Motley of Moultrie, GA; Purdell Smith and Theodore Smith of Banks, AL; And a host other relatives and friends.
