Another soldier has gone to get his reward; he fought a great fight and he kept the faith. He finished his course and now he’s gone home to God. His spirit has ascended high while earth will claim its own; by the laws of nature he had to die while we are left to mourn.

Brother Wilmon Martin, was born in Irwin County on January 31, 1944 to the late Wilson Martin Harry and Bessie Jones. Martin. He departed this life on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. He leaves behind to cherish his memory a son Andre C. Martin and a daughter, Yukia Shunntale Green. Sisters, Ann Gray, Mary Green, Mary Ann Martin and Linda Martin and one brother, Johnny Martin. A special niece/daughter Robin Williams. One grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial Service will be held on January 31, 2018 at Douglas City Cemetery
